Strengthening Services to Prevent the Infectious Disease Consequences of Drug Use

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for HIV, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention is seeking applications to strengthen services that prevent the infectious disease consequences of drug use. Under this cooperative agreement, recipients will execute two main components: Component 1 focuses on improving service data through biennial capacity and biobehavioral surveys of high-impact settings and people who use drugs, while Component 2 aims to expand the availability and use of testing, treatment, and prevention services. Applicants can apply for either component or both, with the goal of enhancing national data usage, increasing testing for HBV, HCV, and HIV, and boosting treatment initiation and care engagement. This unrestricted discretionary grant program has an estimated total funding of $82,500,000 to support approximately two awards.
