USAID, through its Jordan office, is seeking insights via a Request for Information (RFI) to develop strategies for countering violent extremism among youth in Northeast Syria, particularly in non-regime areas. The RFI aims to gather information on the factors contributing to youth vulnerability to radicalization and to explore potential partnerships for community engagement that can build resilience against extremist ideologies. This initiative is crucial for fostering stability in a region affected by the aftermath of ISIS control, emphasizing the role of civil society and youth in peacebuilding efforts. Interested parties, particularly NGOs and community organizations with relevant experience, are encouraged to submit their responses by August 24, 2024, to Nahil G Khoury at nkhoury@usaid.gov, with no cost-sharing requirements for this opportunity.
