NIJ FY 2026 Research and Evaluation of Services for Victims of Crime

The National Institute of Justice, in collaboration with the Office for Victims of Crime, is seeking applications for the NIJ FY 2026 Research and Evaluation of Services for Victims of Crime grant. Funded projects must conduct research and evaluation to better understand the needs of crime victims and survivors and improve the services they receive. Work is divided into two categories, focusing on either law enforcement-based victim services and victim service program evaluations, or the extent and effects of technology-facilitated abuse, including deepfakes. Small businesses are among the eligible applicants, and projects do not require a cost-sharing or matching contribution. Applications are due by August 14, 2026, with an estimated total program funding of $3,000,000 across approximately five expected awards of up to $1,500,000 each.
