Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health are funding cooperative agreements to enhance the quality, relevance, and availability of health and safety training for miners in the Western United States. Programs must evaluate training effectiveness, collaborate with existing federal and state programs to avoid duplication, and target miners within the designated Western States Division geographic area. This opportunity offers up to $2,500,000 in total program funding, with individual awards capped at a ceiling of $250,000. Applications must be submitted by January 26, 2027, and questions can be directed to Scientific Program Official Maria Lioce at MLioce@cdc.gov.
