Post Kuala Lumpur FY2026 Annual Program Statement

The U.S. Embassy Kuala Lumpur Public Diplomacy Section invites proposals for its FY2026 Public Diplomacy Grants Program, aiming to advance U.S. leadership, prosperity, and security interests in Malaysia. Funding between $10,000 and $150,000 is available, with applications reviewed on a rolling basis through July 31, 2026. Eligible applicants include non-profits, educational institutions, international organizations, government institutions, and individuals. Priority areas include advancing U.S. technological leadership, promoting American excellence through sports diplomacy, engaging alumni networks, promoting American English language education, and countering malign influence. Proposals should align with U.S. interests, demonstrate clear outcomes, and have a sustainable impact. Applicants must have a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) and SAM.gov registration (unless exempt). The Embassy will have substantial involvement in cooperative agreements. Ineligible activities include partisan political activities, charitable work, construction, religious activities, fundraising, lobbying, scientific research, organizational growth, duplicating existing programs, or those not advancing U.S. interests. Proposals are evaluated based on alignment with U.S. interests, program quality, organizational capacity, budget, monitoring and evaluation, and sustainability. Financial and program reports are required post-award, emphasizing U.S. branding.
