The Department of the Army, through USAMRAA, is funding the FY26 Epilepsy Research Program Leveraging Research Award to support research that advances understanding of post-traumatic epilepsy and associated comorbidities. The award is intended for basic, translational, or clinical projects that repurpose or expand existing research resources, including cohorts, tools, interventions, or other resources not originally focused on PTE. Applicants must build on an existing research effort and show strong scientific justification, with work aligned to ERP focus areas such as PTE markers and mechanisms, epidemiology, longitudinal progression, and innovative research tools. Approximately $1.6 million is available for two awards capped at $800,000 each, with a maximum performance period of three years; the pre-application is due August 3, 2026 and the full application is due August 17, 2026 through eBRAP, with Grants.gov used for extramural submissions.
