The Administration for Children and Families’ Family and Youth Services Bureau is offering a discretionary grant to support the General Departmental Sexual Risk Avoidance Education program. The program funds projects that deliver sexual risk avoidance education to participants in areas with high teen birth rates and/or elevated STI risk, with the goal of helping youth make healthy decisions and avoid pregnancy, STIs, and other risky behaviors. Applicants are expected to use medically accurate, peer-reviewed information and evidence-based curricula or strategies that teach self-regulation, healthy relationships, goal setting, resistance to sexual coercion and dating violence, and avoidance of underage drinking or illicit drug use without normalizing teen sexual activity. The listed funding range is $300,000 to $450,000, with estimated total program funding of $19,217,650 for about 43 awards, and electronically submitted applications are due by 11:59 p.m. Eastern on July 29, 2026.

Applications from individuals (including sole proprietorships) and foreign entities are not eligible and will be disqualified from the merit review and funding under this funding opportunity. Faith-based and community organizations that meet the eligibility requirements are eligible for awards under this funding opportunity.
