Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Administration for Community Living is seeking applicants for the Assistive Technology Alternative Financing Program to establish or expand alternative financing options that make assistive technology devices and services affordable for older adults and individuals with disabilities. Grant recipients must support programs such as low-interest, revolving, or guaranteed loan funds, while incorporating credit-building activities and financial education. Projects must emphasize consumer choice, provide financing for a full array of devices, establish a restricted account for funds, and submit a sustainability plan within the first three months of the one-year performance period. Applications must be submitted electronically through Grants.gov by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on July 22, 2026, for awards ranging from $100,000 to $700,000.
Eligible Applicants
State agencies and community-based disability organizations that are directed by and operated for individuals with disabilities shall be eligible to compete. Foreign entities are not eligible to compete for, or receive, awards made under this announcement. Faith-based and community organizations that meet the eligibility requirements are eligible to receive awards under this funding opportunity announcement.
