Strengthening and Development of Sustainable Regional Public Health and Epidemiological Workforce Capacity through Collaboration, Program Development, and Implementation

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is offering a cooperative agreement aimed at strengthening and developing sustainable regional public health and epidemiological workforce capacity through collaboration, program development, and implementation. This initiative seeks to address public health workforce development needs, enhance the capacity to prevent, detect, and respond to diseases, and improve public health priorities, particularly in light of recent global health threats such as COVID-19 and Ebola. The program will focus on collaboration among public health institutions and Ministries of Health at regional and country levels, with an estimated total funding of $75 million available for three expected awards.
