The National Cancer Institute, part of the National Institutes of Health, is seeking to continue support for the Coordinating Center for the Small Cell Lung Cancer Consortium through a cooperative agreement. The center will coordinate consortium research on prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and mechanisms of resistance in small cell lung cancer while managing administrative activities, centralized databases, tissue banking and virtual biospecimen resources, biostatistics and bioinformatics support, model repositories, and communications and website operations. The work is structured as a five-year U24 cooperative agreement, with peer review required and only meritorious applications considered for funding.
