Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Bureau of Land Management is seeking applications for the FY26 Wildlife Resource Management Program to manage and restore wildlife resources and habitats on public lands. Recipient organizations will perform tasks such as implementing plant community treatments, collaborating on big-game migration corridor conservation, collecting species monitoring data, and developing habitat management plans. Projects must align with national, regional, or state-scale wildlife goals, supporting key executive and secretarial orders focused on hunting heritage, outdoor recreation, and habitat quality. The agency expects to fund approximately 70 awards ranging from $10,000 to $2,000,000, with applications due through Grants.gov by September 11, 2026.
Eligible Applicants
Individuals and for-profit organizations are ineligible to apply for awards under this NOFO. This program NOFO does not support entities hiring interns or crews under the Public Lands Corps Act of 1993. The Public Lands Corps Act of 1993, 16 USC, Chapter 37, Subchapter II-Public Lands Corps, is the only legislative authority that allows BLM to "hire" interns under this authority. Therefore, eligible Youth Conservation Corps may only apply for projects developed under NOFO 15.243 – BLM Youth Conservation Opportunities on Public Lands.
