The USDA Rural Business-Cooperative Service is seeking applications for Meat and Poultry Processing Expansion Program Phase 4 grants to improve meat and poultry processing capacity and support food and agricultural supply chain resiliency. The program covers processing expansion projects and simplified equipment-only projects, with required application materials including federal forms, a project narrative, a business plan with pro forma financial statements, evidence of customer demand, and other supporting documentation. Funding is divided between competitions for Very Small and Small Processors and for Intermediate Processors, and applicants must meet eligibility and inspection-status requirements; cost share is required. Applications are due August 7, 2026, with $60 million available in total, awards ranging from $10,000 to $2 million, and questions directed to mppep@usda.gov.
