FY26 EducationUSA Nigeria Advising
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Mission to Nigeria is seeking a cooperative agreement to implement the FY26 EducationUSA Nigeria Advising Program, aimed at expanding access to U.S. higher education for qualified Nigerian students while strengthening advising services that support informed and lawful study. The program centers on the EducationUSA Opportunity Funds Program, which covers key up-front costs such as standardized testing, application fees, visa interview travel, and initial flights, along with support for four advising centers that provide accurate guidance and pre-departure orientations on visa responsibilities, status maintenance, and U.S. law compliance. The work is intended for academically strong Nigerian secondary school and university students, and OFP recruitment is expected to use a rigorous, transparent selection process focused on top performers whose academic and career paths align with STEM, AI, and critical emerging technologies. Applicants must submit an executive summary, organizational background, proposed project description, work plan, outcomes and performance indicators, data collection methods, budget, and required certifications, and the opportunity closes on July 3, 2026 with estimated total program funding of $168,200 across two awards.
