DoW Spinal Cord Injury, Translational Research Award
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Defense Health Agency, through the Department of the Army’s USAMRAA, is offering the FY26 Spinal Cord Injury Research Program Translational Research Award to support translational research that accelerates promising spinal cord injury ideas into clinical applications. The award seeks projects that address one or more priority areas, including acute injury intervention, secondary health effects, psychosocial well-being, and rehabilitation and regeneration, and applications must include at least one SCI community partner. An Early-Career Partnership Option is available for two principal investigators, with at least one early-career investigator, and the program also limits each investigator to one FY26 SCIRP TRA application as a PI. The program anticipates about $8.32 million total funding and up to four awards, with a pre-application due August 3, 2026 and full applications due November 12, 2026; the grant does not require cost sharing and inquiries go to the eBRAP Help Desk.
