Pilot Testing, Implementation, and Evaluation of the Cervical, Breast and Colorectal Cancer Clinical Decision Support Tools

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion is funding the pilot testing, implementation, and evaluation of clinical decision support tools for cervical, breast, and colorectal cancer screening. Awardees will integrate existing computable guideline algorithms into real-world electronic health records within large health systems to facilitate evidence-based screening and real-time clinical decision-making. The scope is divided into Component A, which focuses on the system-wide implementation and evaluation of a cervical cancer tool, and Component B, which involves pilot testing and documenting interoperable tools for breast and colorectal cancers. This discretionary cooperative agreement has an estimated total program funding of $7,250,000 to support approximately two awards starting in September 2027.
