The Federal Emergency Management Agency within the Department of Homeland Security is offering the Fiscal Year 2026 Homeland Security Grant Program to strengthen national capacity to prevent, prepare for, protect against, and respond to acts of terrorism and catastrophic events. State Administrative Agencies will manage the funding across three primary initiatives: the State Homeland Security Program, the Urban Area Security Initiative, and Operation Stonegarden. Recipients must dedicate at least 35 percent of their allocations to Law Enforcement Terrorism Prevention Activities and at least 30 percent to designated National Priority Areas, with 20 percent of the total award withheld from drawdown until election security compliance is demonstrated. The program features an estimated total funding amount of $1,064,000,000 for approximately 56 awards, and applications must be submitted via FEMA GO by July 24, 2026.
