Grant Opportunity Analysis

The National Cancer Institute within the National Institutes of Health is seeking applications to sustain and evolve high-value informatics technologies for cancer research and management through the ITCR Program. The award supports existing, widely adopted resources that improve data acquisition, management, analysis, integration, and dissemination across the cancer research continuum, with an emphasis on tools that have already demonstrated impact. Applicants must justify why the resource should be maintained and show how it will continue to benefit the field, with plans for end-user support, documentation, training, outreach, data management, software and model sharing, and close engagement with the research community; the work is not intended for early-stage development or significant new data generation. The NOFO allows up to five years of support, with up to $600,000 in direct costs per year and an estimated two awards from $1,800,000 in FY 2027 funding, and applications are due October 19, 2026.
