Public Health Training Centers (PHTC) Program
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Health Resources and Services Administration is accepting applications for the Public Health Training Centers Program to strengthen and increase the capacity of the public health workforce. Awardees will establish programs to provide student traineeships, field placements, technical assistance, and targeted professional development training in partnership with local health departments and community-based organizations. The four-year cooperative agreements require recipients to dedicate at least 20 percent of their budget to traineeships, with a funding preference given to accredited schools of public health. HRSA plans to award approximately 10 cooperative agreements totaling $9.1 million, with an individual award ceiling of $910,000 and an electronic application deadline of July 17, 2026.
Eligible Applicants
You can apply if you are an accredited school of public health, or another public or nonprofit private institution accredited to provide graduate or specialized training in public health.
