Tribal Behavioral Health: Suicide Prevention

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration is offering the Tribal Behavioral Health: Suicide Prevention grant to prevent suicide, suicide attempts, and deaths by suicide among American Indian and Alaska Native youth and young adults through age 24 in Tribal communities. Recipients will implement targeted suicide prevention and behavioral health interventions designed for the specific needs of youth within federally recognized tribes, tribal organizations, Urban Indian Organizations, or consortia of tribes. This discretionary health grant program does not require cost-sharing or matching from applicants. SAMHSA plans to award approximately 44 grants from an estimated total program funding of $15,381,824, featuring an award ceiling of $350,000 per award.
