DOJ FY 2026 Bridging Immigration-related Deficits Experienced Nationwide (“BIDEN”) Program

The Bureau of Justice Assistance is seeking applications for the DOJ FY 2026 Bridging Immigration-related Deficits Experienced Nationwide ("BIDEN") Program to support states, local governments, and tribal agencies in addressing immigration-related deficits. Funding is distributed across three categories to support the hiring of law enforcement and critical criminal justice personnel, the procurement and maintenance of advanced technology and equipment, and the construction or modernization of temporary detention facilities. To qualify, awardees must use the funds to support seven statutory purposes including apprehending criminal illegal aliens, investigating trafficking, and assisting Homeland Security Task Force activities. Applicants must submit their proposals by July 15, 2026, under an estimated total program budget of $3,000,000,000, with inquiries directed to the OJP Response Center at OJP.ResponseCenter@usdoj.gov.
