State Occupational Safety and Health Surveillance Program (U60)

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - ERA is seeking cooperative agreement applications to support the State Occupational Safety and Health Surveillance Program. Funded partners will develop or expand state-level occupational safety and health surveillance capacity and infrastructure utilizing public and other data sources, including electronic medical records, hospital discharge databases, and death records. This public health approach allows state agencies to link surveillance findings with voluntary interventions, education, and outreach activities to identify new problems and protect working populations outside of regulatory limitations. The agency expects to award approximately 25 grants with individual award ceilings of $685,000 and floors of $150,000 out of an estimated $40,000,000 in total program funding.
