BJA FY25 Second Chance Act Community-based Reentry Program

The Bureau of Justice Assistance is offering a discretionary federal grant to support community-based organizations and tribal governments that provide mentoring and transitional services for adults returning to their communities after incarceration. The program focuses on people assessed as moderate to high risk for recidivism, and services may be delivered before and/or after release. The opportunity is open to nonprofits without 501(c)(3) status and does not require cost sharing or matching.
