Trauma-Informed Services in Schools

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration is offering a discretionary grant to expand trauma-informed services in schools and increase student access to evidence-based support services and mental health care. The program funds innovative initiatives, activities, and programs that connect local school systems with local trauma support and mental health services. Eligibility is statutorily limited to State Education Agencies, Local Educational Agencies, Indian Tribes or their Tribal Educational Agencies, schools operated by the Bureau of Indian Education, Regional Corporations, and Native Hawaiian Educational Organizations, and at least one award is expected to go to tribes or tribal organizations pending adequate application volume.
