Intervention Research to Improve Native American Health

The National Institutes of Health, led by the National Institute on Drug Abuse with other NIH institutes, centers, and offices, is seeking grant applications under the Intervention Research to Improve Native American Health initiative to support research and interventions that improve Native American health. The program funds studies on the causes of health problems to inform intervention design, as well as work to develop, adapt, or test interventions for health promotion, disease prevention, treatment, or recovery. It also supports dissemination and implementation research to help overcome barriers to adopting, integrating, scaling, and sustaining effective interventions, with an emphasis on community knowledge, strengths, resilience, and solutions that can be adapted across communities.
