Grant Opportunity Analysis

The National Institutes of Health intends to fund the Blueprint Neurotherapeutics Network for Small Molecules program to help investigators advance promising small-molecule therapeutics toward clinical testing. Supported projects will conduct drug discovery and development activities in their own laboratories while utilizing NIH-supported subject matter experts and contract research organizations for medicinal chemistry, pharmacokinetics, toxicology, formulation development, GMP synthesis, and Phase I clinical testing. The program will utilize a phased cooperative agreement mechanism to support projects with high-risk potential, conditioning continued yearly support on the demonstrated feasibility of annual milestones.
