Grant Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Department of State’s Public Diplomacy Mission Mexico is seeking grant proposals to support programs that strengthen cultural ties and mutual understanding between the United States and Mexico. The program is intended to fund cultural, economic, security, educational, professional, and exchange activities that highlight shared values and promote bilateral cooperation, with projects required to include a U.S. cultural element or a connection to U.S. experts, organizations, or institutions. Priority areas include showcasing American innovation and shared values, countering adversarial influence, dismantling cartels and combating fentanyl, highlighting the United States as a partner of choice, and advancing trade and reducing the deficit, and proposals are evaluated on program quality, organizational capacity, project planning, budget, and monitoring and evaluation. Applications are due July 31, 2026, with up to $500,000 available, an expected 30 awards, and inquiries directed to MexicoCityPDAPS@groups.state.gov.
