The U.S. Embassy and Consulates in Mexico are offering the Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund 2026 as a grant competition for alumni of U.S. government-funded exchange programs to develop community-based projects in Mexico. Teams of at least two eligible alumni are invited to propose innovative solutions to local or regional challenges, with projects intended to expand alumni impact and strengthen ties with the U.S. government. Proposals must celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States through Freedom250, align with U.S. administration policy goals, address at least one listed theme, and carry out all activities outside the United States. Awards range from $5,000 to $35,000, applications are due April 30, 2026, submissions begin with a concept note, and inquiries may be sent to MissionMexicoAlumni@state.gov.
