Grant Opportunity Analysis

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking applications to fund the implementation of approved State and Interstate Aquatic Nuisance Species Management Plans. Recipients will carry out activities designed to prevent introductions, limit the spread, and reduce risks associated with aquatic nuisance species. Only states, territories, or Indian tribes with an approved plan from the Aquatic Nuisance Species Task Force are eligible, and projects require a 25 percent cost-share alongside a 5 percent cap on administrative costs. Performance is anticipated to run from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2028. Pre-proposals must be submitted by July 29, 2026, followed by full applications through GrantSolutions by October 14, 2026, under an estimated total program funding of $4,084,000.
