Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is offering the Region 9 Fiscal Year 2025 Wetland Program Development Grants (WPDGs) to support state, Tribal, U.S. territory, and local government agencies in enhancing their wetland protection and management programs. The grants aim to assist in developing or refining effective programs that align with the goals of increasing wetland quantity and quality across the U.S., with a total funding pool of approximately $3.2 to $3.4 million available for up to 10 grants, each with a maximum award of $500,000. Eligible applicants include Indian Tribes, states, local governments, and intertribal consortia within Region 9, which encompasses Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, and U.S. territories, and projects must include a minimum 25% cost share, although this requirement may be waived for Insular Areas under $200,000.
