Grant Opportunity Analysis

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, part of NIH, is reissuing this funding opportunity for investigator-initiated Program Project (P01) grant applications supporting research aligned with the NIAID mission. The program seeks multi-project proposals with at least two related, synergistic Research Projects built around a common theme, plus an Administrative Core and optional Scientific Cores, covering topics such as infectious microbes, host-microbe interactions, immune function, and vaccines, therapeutics, and diagnostics for infectious and immune-mediated diseases. Clinical trials are not allowed, the maximum project period is five years, budgets are not limited, and applications must follow multi-project submission requirements; consultation with NIAID is strongly encouraged well before submission. Applications are due May 25, 2029, and submission requires SAM, UEI, eRA Commons, and Grants.gov registration, with questions directed to NIAID_P01_NOFO@mail.nih.gov.
