Grant Opportunity Analysis

The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs seeks a cooperative agreement to implement the FY 2026 American Music Mentorship Program, a mentorship exchange for international mid-career music industry professionals and U.S. mentors. The awardee will manage program logistics and curated exchanges that include a two-week U.S. residency, monthly virtual mentoring over about 10 to 12 months, workshops, forums, collaborations, site visits, and an outbound visit for approximately 10 U.S. mentors and instructors overseas. The program is designed to strengthen music industry infrastructure, commercial and creative development, and cross-border collaboration, and it uses a standardized ECA performance monitoring plan based on the MODE framework with participant indicators, targets, and survey-based reporting. One cooperative agreement of $700,000 is expected, with no cost sharing required, and applications are due May 29, 2026; the grantor contact is Julia Gomez-Nelson at nelsonjg2@state.gov.
