Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is offering the Region 2 Fiscal Year 2025 Wetland Program Development Grants (WPDGs) to support state, Tribal, territory, and local government agencies, as well as interstate/intertribal entities and state universities in enhancing their wetland protection and management programs. The grants aim to develop or refine programs that protect, manage, and restore wetlands, aligning with the goals of increasing wetland quantity and quality across the U.S. Eligible projects can follow two tracks: Track One for Wetland Program Plans (WPP) or Track Two for Non-WPP activities, with a minimum 25% cost-share requirement, although waivers may apply for certain entities. The total funding available is $1,730,000, with 6-8 awards anticipated, and applications are due by April 10, 2026.
