Translational Transplantation Tolerance Cooperative Study Group

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, an agency of the National Institutes of Health, is funding the Translational Transplantation Tolerance Cooperative Study Group program. Recipients will participate in a multi-center, cooperative program to develop, optimize, and evaluate approaches for inducing and maintaining immune tolerance to allogeneic transplants. This work requires testing safe and effective transplant tolerance regimens in translationally relevant models to achieve long-term graft survival without the need for life-long immunosuppressive drugs. The program carries an estimated total funding of $10,460,000 to support cooperative agreements starting in fiscal year 2028.
