American Center Kampala Management and Programming
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Mission to Uganda is seeking a nonprofit partner for a cooperative agreement to manage and program the American Center Kampala in support of U.S. public diplomacy priorities. The selected organization will handle daily operations, including facility management, security coordination, staff supervision, visitor services, and the delivery of interactive public programming such as educational workshops, cultural events, English language programs, speaker series, and digital engagement. The Embassy will retain strategic direction and programming approval, and the award is intended to support a welcoming, accessible center that builds partnerships, tracks outcomes, and aligns activities with local audiences and U.S. foreign policy objectives. Application materials include organizational information and performance monitoring templates, and the budget worksheet and related proposal documents indicate applicants should be prepared to document their organizational capacity, finances, and compliance systems. The award amount is $30,000 to $70,000 for one 12-month award, with a close date of May 29, 2026, and inquiries directed to kampalagrants@state.gov.
