U.S. Embassy to the United Kingdom Public Diplomacy Section Annual Program Statement

The U.S. Embassy to the United Kingdom, under the Department of State, has issued an Annual Program Statement (APS) for the Public Diplomacy Grants Program (Opportunity number: DOS-London-PD-2026-01). With total anticipated funding of $230,000, the Embassy expects to award approximately 10 grants, cooperative agreements, or fixed amount awards ranging from $20,000 to $100,000. Projects must have a performance period of 1 to 12 months. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until the deadline of August 10, 2026. Eligible applicants include individuals, non-profits, civil society organizations, think tanks, and educational institutions. The program aims to fund initiatives that align with three priority goals: strengthening U.S. prosperity and UK economic resilience; securing UK support for U.S. foreign policy and defense capabilities; and defending foundational freedoms while celebrating American independence, culture, and legacy. Project formats may include academic lectures, speaker programs, cultural workshops, and professional exchanges. Proposals must include mandatory SF-424 forms, a detailed project narrative (maximum 5 pages), a budget justification, key personnel resumes, and proof of non-profit registration. Organizations must have an active SAM.gov registration and a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) to apply. Submissions will be evaluated based on program quality, organizational capacity, planning feasibility, budget reasonableness, monitoring and evaluation plans, and long-term sustainability. Underperforming or high-risk awardees will be subject to strict monitoring and special award conditions.
