The U.S. Mission to Oman, through the U.S. Embassy in Muscat, is offering the Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) 2026 as a grant for alumni of U.S. government-sponsored and facilitated exchange programs. The program seeks project proposals from teams of at least two eligible alumni that include the required proposal and budget materials submitted through the online application form. Projects must celebrate and promote Freedom 250, and preference will be given to proposals tied to commercial ties, sports diplomacy, cultural heritage and U.S. creative industries, emerging and advanced technologies, or space cooperation and innovation. Applications are due June 14, 2026, with awards ranging from $5,000 to $35,000 and questions directed to muscatpasgrants@state.gov.
Eligible Applicants
The following are eligible to apply: Applicants must be alumni of a U.S. government-funded exchange program or a U.S. government-sponsored exchange program (https://j1visa.state.gov/ ). Projects teams must include teams of at least two (2) alumni. Alumni who are U.S. citizen alumni cannot submit proposals, but may participate as team members in a project. Alumni teams may be comprised of alumni from different exchange programs and different countries.
