The Defense Health Agency, through the Department of the Army’s USAMRAA, is seeking applications for the FY26 Breast Cancer Research Program Breakthrough Award Level 4 cooperative agreement to support high-impact breast cancer research with clinical trial requirements. The work calls for large-scale clinical trials aimed at transforming breast cancer management and prevention, and the research team must include two or more breast cancer consumer advocates while addressing at least one overarching BCRP challenge. This is a two-step competition with a pre-application followed by a full application for invited applicants, and it allows either a single principal investigator or a partnering PI arrangement, with selected applicants also undergoing an oral presentation as part of programmatic review. Approximately $21 million is available to fund one award over four years, with the pre-application due June 12, 2026, the full application due September 30, 2026, and questions directed to the eBRAP Help Desk.
