The Administration for Community Living, through the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research, is seeking proposals for the Disability and Rehabilitation Research Projects Program: Burn Injury as a Lifelong Condition. The selected grantee must develop and field-test an evidence-based model for managing burn injuries as a chronic condition, which includes conducting systematic reviews of existing management models and executing knowledge translation and dissemination activities. Eligible applicants—such as states, public or private agencies, higher education institutions, and Indian tribes—must design research at the intervention-development, intervention efficacy, or scale-up evaluation stage for a 36-month performance period running from September 1, 2026, to August 31, 2029. The agency plans to award one grant with an annual budget cap of $700,000, and electronic applications must be submitted via Grants.gov by July 23, 2026.
Eligible Applicants
States; public or private agencies, including for-profit agencies; public or private organizations, including for-profit organizations; IHEs; and Indian tribes and tribal organizations. Foreign entities are not eligible to compete for, or receive, awards made under this announcement. Faith-based and community organizations that meet the eligibility requirements are eligible to receive awards under this funding opportunity announcement.
