Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is offering a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the National Environmental Education and Training Program (NEETP), aimed at enhancing environmental education (EE) training for both formal and non-formal education professionals across the United States. This program, authorized under the National Environmental Education Act of 1990, seeks to bolster the capacity of educators to effectively teach about environmental issues, with a focus on environmental stewardship, outdoor education, and AI-enhanced educational methods. Approximately $4,740,000 is available for one award, which will be incrementally funded up to $2,370,000 annually for two years, and applicants must provide a minimum 25% non-federal cost share.
