The National Institutes of Health is offering the Small Business Technology Transfer Grant (Parent STTR [R41/R42] Clinical Trial Optional) to help U.S. small businesses partner with nonprofit research institutions and move scientific innovations toward commercialization in support of health. The program supports feasibility studies and later-stage research and development, including Phase I, Phase II, Direct to Phase II, and Fast-Track applications, to develop a commercial product. Eligibility is limited to U.S. small business concerns, with foreign organizations and non-domestic U.S. components not eligible, and review places emphasis on scientific merit, commercial potential, investigator expertise, innovation, approach, and clinical trial considerations where applicable.
