NCI Research Specialist Award for Core and Laboratory-based Scientists (R50 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

The National Institutes of Health, through NCI, is seeking applications for the Research Specialist Award (R50) to provide salary support for exceptional non-tenure track scientists who contribute to cancer research within existing NCI-funded programs. The award is intended for research specialists working in laboratories, core facilities, or shared resources, supporting the technical expertise, continuity, and leadership that strengthen cancer research infrastructure. Eligible applicants must have an advanced degree, have contributed to the cancer research program for at least two years, devote at least half their time to NCI-funded research, and not have sought independent investigator funding in the past five years.
