American Studies Tour for Canadian Students
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Department of State’s Consulate General Toronto is seeking a cooperative agreement to run an American Studies Tour for Canadian students. The award supports a short-term U.S. study tour for Canadian university students, with visits to sites tied to the American Revolution, the creation of the U.S. Constitution, and the founding of the United States, along with cultural and educational institutions. The program also includes lectures and discussions by U.S. experts on American history, federalism, and the Constitution, and requires a follow-on project that shares the learning with a broader Canadian audience, with proposals emphasizing program design, participant recruitment, logistics, and monitoring and evaluation. Eligible U.S. or Canadian nonprofit organizations and educational institutions may apply, with awards anticipated at $50,000 to $100,000 and applications due July 17, 2026; a UEI and active SAM.gov registration are required.
