Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Cemetery Administration (NCA) is offering grants through the Veterans Legacy Grants Program (VLGP) to support educational initiatives that teach the public about the histories of Veterans interred in national, state, territorial, or Tribal Veterans cemeteries. Eligible applicants include private institutions of higher education, local educational agencies, non-profit entities with a demonstrated history of community engagement, and other educational institutions. This program, which emphasizes the importance of recognizing Veterans' contributions to society, has a total funding amount of $2.2 million, with individual grants ranging from $50,000 to $400,000. Eligible Applicants
Eligible recipient (or entity) means one of the following: (1) An institution of higher learning; (2) A local educational agency; (3) A non-profit entity that the Secretary determines has a demonstrated history of community engagement that pertains to the projects described in the relevant NOFO; (4) An educational institution; or (5) Another recipient (or entity) the Secretary deems appropriate.
