DoW Lupus, Impact Award
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Defense Health Agency, through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs and USAMRAA, is offering the FY26 Lupus Research Program Impact Award to support high-risk, high-reward research with the potential to make a major impact on lupus research and disease. The award is aimed at projects that address at least one FY26 LRP Impact Award focus area and does not allow clinical trials, while preliminary data are encouraged but not required. Approximately $5 million is available to support about five awards, with each award up to $1 million over four years, and applications are open to eligible U.S. Department of War extramural and intramural organizations with independent investigators as principal investigators. Submissions require registration with SAM.gov, eBRAP.org, and Grants.gov, with a pre-application due July 29, 2026 and a full application due August 19, 2026.
