Construction of the new Regional Storm Water Retention Basin at Detroit Arsenal, Warren, MI

The project's scope involves constructing a 43,000 cubic yard regional storm water retention basin with primary and secondary overflow systems, installing 635 linear feet of 60-inch storm sewer pipe, and performing site development, demolition, and utility relocation. Additional requirements include handling potential PFAS-contaminated soil mitigation (hauling approximately 21,500 cubic yards of excavated material to a certified landfill) and turf establishment. The anticipated project cost ranges from $7.5 million to $8.5 million.
