Shank 2.0 payload, training warhead, and pre-packed anti-personnel warhead

The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Rock Island at Picatinny (ACC-RIP), on behalf of the Project Manager Close Combat Systems, has issued a Sources Sought Notice to identify potential sources capable of manufacturing the Government-developed Shank 2.0 payload, training warheads, and pre-packed anti-personnel warheads for small Unmanned Aerial System (sUAS) platforms. Additionally, the Government is seeking industry feedback to improve the Technical Data Package (TDP) for better producibility and to evaluate scaling production capacity up to 40,000 units per month by 2027. The Shank 2.0 is a platform-agnostic, modular lethal payload designed to integrate with the Picatinny Common Lethality Integration Kit (CLIK) and standardized mechanical, electrical, and data interfaces. To request the restricted, export-controlled TDP and drawings, interested vendors must possess an approved DD Form 2345 (Military Critical Technical Data Agreement) through the Joint Certification Program, a facility clearance for classified materials, and submit FCDDAC Form 1350 alongside a non-disclosure agreement. Interested companies must submit a capabilities statement of no more than ten pages. Submissions must outline manufacturing capabilities, experience with CLIK interfaces, rough order of magnitude (ROM) pricing and scheduling for production scaling, risk mitigation strategies for supply chain volatility, and administrative plans for any anticipated subcontracting. Responses must be submitted electronically to Contract Specialist Michael Arena and Contracting Officer Yolie Davila by 12:00 p.m. EST on October 1, 2026.
