The Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mechanicsburg, is soliciting proposals for a complete Buoyant Cable Antenna Shear Valve. The contractor must manufacture and deliver the specialized valve and its constituent components in strict accordance with Naval Ship System Command drawings, using designated materials such as titanium, copper alloys, and specific graphite-filled urethanes. Because these items are designated as special emphasis materials for crucial shipboard systems, the contractor must adhere to strict quality assurance standards, including Level I traceability, clean weld records, hydrostatic testing, and compliance with ISO-9001 quality systems. Final delivery of the material must be completed on or before 365 days after the effective date of the contract, and certifications must be submitted electronically 20 days prior to delivery.
