679-19-101 Correct Critical Access and ADA Deficiencies B61
Contract Opportunity Analysis
VA VISN 7 Network Contracting Activity is soliciting a service-disabled veteran-owned small business to renovate the connecting corridor between Buildings 4 and 61 at the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center to correct critical access and ADA deficiencies. The work includes demolition and replacement or modification of the corridor’s floor slope, walls, windows, roofing, HVAC, lighting, fire protection, railing, finishes, and related site work, with a staged plan to keep the medical center operating. The project calls for a fully sprinklered, non-combustible connector using helical piers, with a phased CPM schedule, Class 3 ICRA controls, and other measures to minimize disruption to the 24/7 facility; evaluation gives greater weight to past performance than price. Proposals are due by May 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM ET.
