The Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mechanicsburg, is seeking quotes for a parts kit for a shipboard Trash Disposal Ball Valve. The contract requires delivering a parts kit consisting of one ball, one inboard seal, and one outboard seal manufactured in accordance with Newport News Drawing 505-4457329. Because the components are designated as special emphasis material for crucial shipboard systems, strict quality control procedures, hydrostatic or dye penetrant testing, chemical and mechanical material certifications, and MIL-STD-792 traceability markings are required. The procurement is a DO-rated order certified for national defense use, and NAVSUP will evaluate offers based on past performance.
