Biological Containment Isolation System (BCIS)
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground, on behalf of the Joint Project Manager for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Protection, is seeking prototype solutions for a Biological Containment Isolation System under an Other Transaction Authority. The core requirement is to develop a modular, field-installable kit to convert the standard USAF TMT60 positive-pressure tent shelter into a negative-pressure, multi-patient isolation system for managing patients with High Consequence Infectious Diseases. Deliverables include three prototype kits at Technology Readiness Level 6 for Phase I, and potentially five kits at Technology Readiness Level 7 for Phase II, with critical thresholds of maintaining a -2.5 Pa pressure differential, at least 12 air changes per hour, and 99.97% filtration efficiency. This phased acquisition will evaluate submissions based on OTA eligibility, technical merit, programmatic viability, and data rights, with successful completion potentially leading to a sole-source follow-on production contract for up to 15 units. Initial Step 1 Solution Briefs and Supporting Data Packages must be submitted via email to Agreements Officer Dan Adams and Agreements Specialists Christine Halamoutis and Andy Rhodes by July 10, 2026.
